Contract for Zero Liquid Discharge System Awarded

Aquatech (USA), specialists in water purification technology aimed at industrial and infrastructure markets, have been offered a contract for a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system, integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plant in Kemper County, Mississippi.

Aquatech will design, fabricate, erect, and start up a complete solution for a water treatment and wastewater treatment facility. This facility will include a 300 GPM make-up system, 700 GPM mobile ion exchange demineralisation system, a 2 x 50% 400 GPM brine concentrator, 40 GPM forced circulation crystalliser and filter press.

The power plant is owned by Mississippi Power Company and can be found new De Kalb in Mississippi. The design has taken into account a range of environmental considerations such as being a zero-discharge system.
