Kruger (USA), a Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies company, has completed startup and commissioning of a Hydrotech Discfilter system for the City of Galt. Kruger was selected by the City in 2009 to provide the system for the Tertiary Filtration and UV Disinfection Facility Improvements Project. The project goal was to improve effluent water quality from the facility prior to discharge into Laguna Creek.

The Hydrotech system includes three (3) HSF2210-1F Discfilter units. It is designed to filter a capacity up to 6 MGD in order to produce effluent with average turbidity ≤ 2 NTU in accordance with California Title 22 requirements for the use of recycled wastewater. The system was commissioned for use in November of 2010.
