SWRnewstar revitalises PR strategy with bespoke campaign from Neo PR

Jun 13 2018

SWRnewstar, one of the UK’s largest waste management solution providers, has appointed Neo PR Ltd to spearhead its PR strategy following the merger of Specialist Waste Recycling Limited and New Star Environmental. The PR partnership will see Neo PR provide a full-service strategy of proactive thought leadership, news-based activity, customer PR and a research campaign to inaugurate brand awareness and support further business growth.

SWRnewstar is recognised for delivering a range of innovative waste management solutions to some of Britain’s biggest businesses, encouraging behavioural change to add value beyond just lifting bins. Neo PR will work with SWRnewstar to leverage this message and position the business as a thought leader in the ever changing world of waste management. The organisation has customers in a range of sectors including property management, grocery, retail, leisure and automotive, creating multiple opportunities for press coverage and liaison in vertical markets.

The engagement began in December 2017 when Neo PR successfully supported and promoted the merger of Specialist Waste Recycling Limited and New Star Environmental to become SWRnewstar.

Stephen Cameron, Business Development Director, SWRnewstar comments: “When the talks around a merger began, we knew a PR presence would be vital in order to promote the partnership and provide SWRnewstar with the brand awareness we needed to make it a success. Getting involved with a PR agency from the beginning of the merger process has been essential to fully establish the voice of SWRnewstar in this new chapter. We have been delighted with the outcomes of the PR campaign so far and really feel we are gaining from Neo PR’s expertise and professionalism.”

Ashley Carr, Managing Director, Neo PR, adds: “Waste management continues to be a big topic that is continuing to grab the headlines so we are thrilled to be working with such a passionate and driven organisation that isn’t scared to challenge the sector and provide innovative solutions to this worldwide problem. The recent merger has provided SWRnewstar with exceptional expertise in the Waste Management industry and we’re confident the organisation will continue to experience further growth with an effective PR strategy in place.”
