Biological Odour Abatement
Jul 29 2009
The Bioaction Odour Biofilter compact and modular design from SNI Environmental (Australia) provides sustained and efficient biological odour control technology. It removes and destroys H2S, odours and VOCs at a lower overall cost compared to any other commercially available destruction or treatment technology.
The Bioaction Odour Biofilter technology design optimises the bio degradation process through the control of even air distribution, filter bed moisture, air humidity and thermal control. The design and the use a unique organic media provides a low cost, long lasting, and low maintenance system.
The biofilter technology and its unique bio-media provide a controlled biological environment that significantly improves the biofilter performance.
The unique bio-media is a homogenous organic media that allows even air diffusion across the bed. It is a robust media with a high lignin content that does not degrade to cause venting or backpressure. Its high moisture holding capacity, consistent air-filled porosity and large surface area (6000m2/ltr) maintains and encourages the development of a highly productive biomass.
This compact, highly efficient and maintenance-free biofilter makes it a practical and cost efficient system to eliminate odorous and volatile compounds from waste airstreams.
Suitable for the elimination and degradation of H2S, organic sulphides, VOC’s (volatile organic compounds), mercaptans, ammonia, and solvents in industrial and municipal applications such as: Sewerage Works and Pump Stations, Composting, Bio-digesters, Waste Processing, Rendering Plants, Food Processing and Manufacturing, Piggery, Poultry Sheds, Vehicle Paint Booths, Furniture Production.
Bioaction Odour Biofilters can be designed to for various industrial applications and waste airstreams. They are designed for easy installation to minimise production downtime.
