The market leader in non-chemical water treatment, Wedeco, is celebrating its 40th anniversary delivering sustainable water treatment technologies.

Founded in Herford, Germany in 1976, Xylem’s Wedeco brand has been helping companies to improve the quality of process water, effluent discharge and also to safeguard drinking water whilst offering substantial energy savings.

To this day, there are more than 250,000 Wedeco UV disinfection and ozone oxidation water treatment systems operating worldwide, across a number of private, public utility and industrial locations.

“Our 40th anniversary represents our historic vision in innovation” says Roger Webb, Industrial Sales Manager - Treatment at Xylem Water Solutions UK. “Over 40 years Wedeco has helped to transform the water and wastewater treatment industry. From the introduction of ozone technology in 1988, the business continues to develop and implement highly efficient, reliable and environmentally-friendly technologies, throughout the world. We are incredibly proud of our heritage and are very much looking forward to the next 40 years.”

Wedeco’s reliable; eco-friendly technologies support operators in achieving required water and wastewater quality standards, as well as improving performance. The systems provide energy saving benefits and can help to enhance overall efficiency. Wedeco’s solutions play a pivotal role in Xylem’s ability to accommodate to individual customer needs and its effort to reduce water use for a positive outcome.
