An agreement has been signed marking the start of the joint research programme, which will look at new technologies relating to water recycling, membrane processes for desalination systems as well as for recycling processes and reduction of sludge in wastewater recycling plants.

For VA TECH WABAG Ltd. a dream has come true, as it has long cherished the wish to establish a joint research programme with the Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) of Anna University in the field of process and product development, utilizing the same water and waste water treatment systems that have made WABAG a world technology leader. This coming together of experts from a renowned institution with rich traditions on the one hand and a water technology leader on the other, will certainly prove to be beneficial to both the parties involved and society in general.
