Degrémont, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, finalised the acquisition of Industrial Water Management (IWM) from BASF recently.

IWM supplies, commercialises and develop conditioning products combined with technical services for cooling circuits and boiler systems and for industrial wastewater treatment. This highly reputable company has also proven expertise in providing support services, like equipment supply, chemical analyses, specific studies, training and pilots for product performance validation.

Degrémont is adding to its range of expertise via the acquisition of IWM, in order to assist industrial companies with the management of their water cycle, via a complete range of solutions, from engineering and the supply of equipment to specialised services.

As IWM is positioned on markets like food processing, chemicals, the paper industry and the energy sector, this acquisition will boost Degrémont’s presence and its portfolio of offerings for industrial companies in France and Europe. The acquisition of IWM is in keeping with the strategy of expanding the industrial activities of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT which has made industrial water one of its four strategic priorities for 2016.
