Landia has supplied a total of 22 pumps and mixers for an expanding Wastewater Treatment Plant in central China.

The new Matougang sludge handling facility at Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan Province, will see four Landia submersibles mix sludge before dewatering, whilst each of the plant’s 16 new digesters will utilise an MPTK-I Landia sludge circulation pump (with two further units ordered for standby).

The pump and mixer contract for the municipal sludge treatment project was awarded to Landia by the renowned tank manufacturer, Lipp, whose Dual-Seam System has proved itself worldwide.  Almost a decade ago, Lipp first specified 13 Landia pumps for its inaugural installation in China, when it built tanks for the Dalian Xiajiahe Sludge Treatment Project in Dalian City at the southernmost tip of China’s northeastern Liaoning Province. The Landia pumps have continued to work efficiently and reliably, with no spare parts required to date.

For the expanding Matougang treatment plant Zhengzhou, the new sludge handling facility will see dewatered sludge digested in order to reduce the amount of sludge. And as an added benefit, biogas will be producing heat and green electricity.
