Water/Wastewater
As part of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious drive to diversify its economy beyond oil, Landia has secured a significant order for its JetMix systems. The advanced mixing technology will be installed at new Water Recycling and Recovery Plants serving a major megaproject in the north of the Kingdom.
Designed to serve an estimated population of around one million people, the new facilities will ensure that all wastewater is fully recycled and utilised. The treatment process will recover valuable resources such as cellulose, nutrients, grit, and biogas. Additionally, seasonal stormwater runoff will be captured and naturally reabsorbed into the land through the creation of wetlands and other sustainable retention systems.
At the heart of the project, Landia’s JetMix systems—featuring venturi nozzles positioned at optimal levels—will provide efficient, uniform recirculation across multiple wastewater tanks. This technology prevents the buildup of solids on tank floors and allows operators to intensify mixing in specific zones when required.
Thorkild Maagaard of Landia commented:
“This is a prestigious and exciting project for us—one that truly captures the imagination. We’re proud to contribute proven technology to such an innovative development. Our long-standing experience in the Middle East, including successful installations in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the UAE, demonstrates the reliability and long-term value of our equipment.”
