Inversand (USA) announces GreensandPlusâ„¢ is the overwhelming choice for water filtration media compared to manganese greensand, the forerunner of GreensandPlus. The advanced GreensandPlus filter media has all the properties of the original manganese greensand, with added improvements including the flexibility to use any of several oxidants for media regeneration. Potassium permanganate is not required unless it is advantageous to use in the specific application. Simply, use chlorine or the oxidant of your choice.
Today users report that GreensandPlus is a cost-efficient water treatment media because it has 30% less backwash waste when compared
to manganese dioxide ore (MnO2) products. The GreensandPlus filtration process efficiently and economically removes iron, manganese, arsenic, radium and hydrogen sulfide in municipal, industrial and point-of-use treatment applications. GreensandPlus has the same effective size, uniformity coefficient, density, weight, backwash and pressure drop curve as manganese greensand. Therefore, it can be used as an exact substitute for the previous product.
