The Hyde GUARDIAN™ BWT System uses automatic backflush filtration and UV disinfection to treat ballast water to meet IMO D2 requirements. The system uses no chemicals, requires no operator and minimal maintenance, and can be fully integrated into the ship’s ballast water control system. The cruise ship Coral Princess, fitted with a Hyde GUARDIAN™ system was the first ship accepted into the US Coast Guard STEP program.
