Austria shows a high interest in South-East European environmental market

Nov 27 2013

The countries in South-East Europe, whether they are EU members or future ones, are aiming in becoming a part of the European green society observing the three R's hierarchy.

There are good investment opportunities in the region, as the focus is moving on the prevention and recycling, which requires renewal of collection systems, construction of sorting-, separation-, recycling- and composting installations, as well as the utilisation of biogas from landfills.

In line with the market demand ‘Save the Planet’ 2014 (Exhibition and Conference) will boost the industry sector in SE Europe. From 5-7-th of March, in Sofia, Bulgaria, the event will open its doors.

The Organiser, Via Expo, is expecting again a strong international presence. Due to its advanced experience in environmental sector, Austria is a supporting event partner. The eco industry generates annual revenues of EUR 10.6 billion and employs a workforce of about 87 000 people. For the fifth consecutive year the national achievements will be demonstrated at the Austrian Pavilion and the Austria Showcase will also be held.

EREMA is a repeated exhibitor. In its 30th anniversary year the company launches INTAREMA®, a plant system with new core technology and groundbreaking technical innovations at K 2013, thus heralding a new era and a new dimension in plastic recycling systems. The EREMA technologies are considered to be the leading standard worldwide for a wide variety of recycling tasks in the in-house recycling of production waste and strongly contaminated post-consumer waste.

The Conference program is tailored to the needs of the attendees and will keep them abreast with the latest industry development. It will engage the delegates in depth discussions on real problems and possible solutions in waste policy development and implementation, efficient waste infrastructure, recycling methods, composting and biogas production. Experts from ACR+ and ENEP will organize European Conference Day ‘Best Practices in Waste/Resource Management among the EU 28’.
