Lipp Systems UK is delivering a proven, flexible tank storage design to the UK AD market. The technology, which includes a specially developed steel composite sheet material, allows strip material to be formed into a rigid tank structure with a gas tight seal which has excellent resistance to aggressive liquids.

With over 50,000 tank installations around the world, the Lipp Dual-Seam system is already widely used for storage of solid and liquid materials as well as gas storage facilities in other parts of the world. Uptake in the UK since its introduction by Lipp Systems UK in 2014 has unsurprisingly been swift.

Originally developed in Germany over 35 years ago, the flexibility of the Lipp Dual-Seam system allows the tank storage system to be constructed to precisely meet the requirements of the application. The tanks are self-supporting and can be manufactured to any diameter up to 40 meters, while the tank material is specified to suit the substrate to ensure maximum resistance to corrosion.

These revolutionary tanks can be designed as basic open-topped containers, gas storage tanks, bulk material silos, anaerobic digesters or as replacements for existing installations which are in need of repair. The flexibility of design and construction allows each tank to be tailor made for the customer while remaining a cost effective solution that will provide superior levels of performance.

With the ability to provide a full turnkey solution, Lipp Systems UK can design, manufacture and install any project from the smallest storage system to a fully functional anaerobic digestion facility. Using in-house stainless steel design and fabrication facilities, the engineering experts can develop a full 3D design drawing before manufacturing the tank on-site and producing all the associated pipework and support structures.

Further information on the bio gas and other applications is available in a brochure which can be downloaded from the Lipp Systems website here: www.lipp-system.co.uk
