Siltbuster Appoints Group Managing Director

Jan 27 2017

Siltbuster, the UK’s leading authority on water treatment, has appointed Russell Bright as Group Managing Director to support the company’s continued growth and international expansion.

Formerly Managing Director of Veolia Water Industrial Outsourcing, which grew from fifteen to 150 employees during his time with them, Russell is an experienced engineer and water industry leader.

“Siltbuster is already a successful company and has sold into over thirty countries, but there is room for further growth and I’m keen to see it become a globally recognised brand,” says Russell. “My task is not only to manage the day-to-day smooth running of the company but also to develop and implement the strategy which will support this international growth.”

He continues: “As a past Siltbuster customer, I know first-hand the benefits it delivers in terms of product innovation, delivery of real solutions, speed of response and commercial values – all of which are a fantastic foundation for continued growth.”

Dr Richard Coulton, CEO of Siltbuster, comments: “We’re delighted to have Russell on board. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience and is a strong addition to our team. By taking on the management of the company, he will enable me to focus increasingly on product innovation, allowing us to further broaden our customer offering.”

As Group Managing Director, Russell will be responsible for all three strands of the Siltbuster Group. Siltbuster Ltd supplies water treatment and silt pollution prevention equipment to all of the leading companies within the construction sector. Siltbuster Process Solutions (SPS) devises water and effluent treatment solutions for industrial applications with customers including Heinz, Premier Foods, Bulmers, Heineken, Arla, Chivas Brothers, Nestle and First Milk. SPS also supplies both temporary and permanent water treatment solutions to virtually all of the UK’s water utility companies. The third area of business is Gritbuster which provides local authority waste and recycling industries with modular road sweeper and gully waste treatment and recycling systems.
