Industrial Wastewater Podcast: Aging Infrastructure and the Impact on Compliance

Nov 16 2021

Anguil Environmental Systems, a family-owned air and water pollution control equipment supplier, is pleased to announce the premiere of a podcast catered to EHS Professionals focused on aging industrial wastewater infrastructure on November 16, 2021. Presented in partnership with EHS Daily Advisor, Anguil’s Director of Industrial Wastewater Mike Munnagle, and Senior Application Engineer, Tim Jaglinski, discuss industry trends in EHS and offer tangible advice for a sustainable and strategic infrastructure approach.

The podcast aims to highlight three key areas that may be presenting EHS Professionals with some unique challenges:

  • Equipment: A plant’s equipment may be aging out or automation that was current decades ago is nonexistent now.
  • People: Trusted staff may be aging out or changing career path in our post-COVID world, taking tribal knowledge with them, and leaving difficult-to-fill job vacancies.
  • Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW): Publicly Owned Treatment Works at capacity are either tightening discharge standards to lower throughput or increasing fines and surcharges to fund expansions.

Through the podcast, Anguil seeks to offer EHS Professionals insight into relevant challenges as well as strategic, easy-to-implement solutions for increased efficiency and compliance. Topics covered include:

  • How EHS Professionals are assessing and mitigating risks
  • What low hanging fruit to tackle first for immediate efficiency and results
  • Key trends challenging EHS Professionals and some proactive approaches to compliance
  • What to look for in an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Equipment provider

About the topics the podcast addresses, Mike Munnagle explains, “It’s hard to be proactive with wastewater treatment as there is no real upside. EHS Professionals are really just trying to minimize costs and risks for their companies. It is not a glamorous topic, but there are technology and equipment improvements that are exciting from a cost savings and performance perspective. I can’t wait to share what we’ve been learning from industry EHS personnel.”

The podcast will be available for listening and download starting November 16th, 2021 at the EHS Daily Advisor web site.
