The first edition of IFAT Eurasia takes place from April 16 to 18, 2015 at the Congresium International Convention & Exhibition Centre (CICEC) in Ankara. The event is being carried out by the new Turkish subsidiary of Messe München International, MMI Eurasia.

Gerhard Gerritzen, Deputy Managing Director of Messe München, explains: "We made a deliberate choice of Ankara as the location for IFAT Eurasia because of the city’s central location and political connections. Environmental markets in general are strongly linked with the respective governments. As the capital city and center of politics in Turkey, Ankara is the place where the management and implementation of modern environmental themes is concentrated – and new draft legislation gives rise to demand for technology." As well as being the seat of government, Ankara is also home to many associations, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.

As a new environmental technology trade show for the Eurasian market, IFAT Eurasia is the latest addition to the IFAT family. Gerritzen: "Turkey is very well positioned geographically and it is at the heart of a wider economic area with international markets that are so far little explored. Ankara has an excellent transport infrastructure, which means this event is easily accessible for trade professionals from various industries right across Turkey and the Near East."

More information on IFAT Eurasia will be available from mid April.
