Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited - Reaction to UK Budget Announcement

Following yesterday’s Budget announcement, Chris Williams, Managing Director of Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited (UK), commented;

“We are largely supportive of the measures that the Chancellor has announced to support the UK’s renewable energy industry.

“We welcome planning reforms which will help those committed to securing the UK’s green future develop a sustainable infrastructure, but at PREL we believe that engaging in dialogue with the local community must always remain a top priority.

“It is our hope that the Green Investment Bank will promote a mix of renewable energy technologies in the UK, rather than allowing one technology to dominate at the expense of others.

"The continuation of the landfill tax demonstrates that it is essential that the UK find alternative ways of dealing with our waste problem, and we at PREL are proud to be at the forefront of those efforts.

"The reform of the Enterprise Investment Scheme is just one of the measures that will be incredibly important to help innovative companies develop new solutions to deliver the green future that this country aspires towards."
