Waste management
Building on its July 2025 announcement of a renewed shareholding structure and fresh investment in business development, GreenDot has expanded its capabilities and European footprint by welcoming Forplast—an Italian specialist in high-quality rHDPE bottle-to-bottle and rPP compounding—into the Group.
The integration strengthens GreenDot’s position as a European leader in the mechanical recycling of household plastic packaging waste and in the production of premium recycled materials for packaging applications. The acquisition directly supports Europe’s plastic packaging circularity ambitions, contributes to the sector’s decarbonization efforts, and bolsters progress toward the 2030 recycled-content targets outlined in the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
GreenDot CEO Laurent Auguste stated: “We are delighted to have Forplast join the Group. Together, we can expand the range of truly circular, 100% bottle-to-bottle grade solutions available to converters and brand owners. Forplast’s expertise is exceptional, and GreenDot will help unlock its full potential while broadening its market reach. This integration underscores our ambition to lead Europe in mechanical recycling of plastic packaging and highlights the strong appeal of the GreenDot team to entrepreneurs in a rapidly evolving industry.”
Paolo Aimi, CEO of Forplast, added: “We are excited to bring our company into the GreenDot Group. Becoming part of a larger European organization positions us to meet the challenges facing the continent’s plastic recycling ecosystem. The integration ensures access to additional PCR feedstock and allows us to apply our technical capabilities across the Group’s operations. Forplast, founded in 1971 by the Villa family, has deep roots in compounding and PE pipe manufacturing, and we are proud to carry this legacy forward within GreenDot.”
