Eco Expo Asia 2023 Unveils Five New Pavilions from Hong Kong, Macao, and Mainland China

Sep 27 2023

Prepare for the eco-event of the year! Eco Expo Asia 2023 is set to take place at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo from October 26 to 29, with an online business matching service called "Click2Match" available from October 19 to November 6. This exhibition promises to be a gathering of influential figures from Mainland China and abroad, featuring exciting new additions, including pavilions from Jiangsu and Hunan provinces, the cities of Shanghai and Zhongshan, and the Macao Special Administrative Region. Additionally, Hong Kong will introduce its debut hydrogen pavilion. These newcomers join returning pavilions from Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, all offering innovative solutions to address pressing global climate challenges.

Under the overarching theme of "Taking the Leap towards Carbon Neutrality," the event aims to unite prominent figures from Mainland China and the global environmental industry. Together, they will promote key concepts such as carbon reduction, the circular economy, and new energy technologies, all with the overarching goal of positioning Hong Kong as an international hub for green technology and finance. In addition to the familiar faces from Canada and Japan, several new groups from Mainland China will make their debut participation, injecting fresh perspectives and solutions into the mix.

Strong Endorsement from the Greater Bay Area
Eco Expo Asia has garnered significant support from the Greater Bay Area, with the inclusion of the new Macao SAR and Zhongshan pavilions. Hong Kong's own hydrogen pavilion, featuring local companies, further underscores its role as a catalyst for fostering collaboration within this thriving metropolis. Notably, recent visits by the Legislative Council Panel on Environmental Affairs and the Environment and Ecology Bureau to Guangzhou and Shenzhen signify efforts to establish a "Zero Waste Bay Area" encompassing Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. The presence of these pavilions, along with numerous waste management firms, makes this edition an ideal platform for discussions on ongoing developments in this vital area.

Diverse Participation from Mainland Chinese Provinces and Cities
Among the exciting newcomers are pavilions representing Jiangsu and Hunan provinces, as well as the dynamic city of Shanghai. Jiangsu province in East China has made significant strides in renewable energy, with over one million green electricity certificates issued this year, each symbolising 1,000 kilowatt hours of green energy. Hunan province boasts robust supply chains for green hydrogen, particularly in the cities of Zhuzhou and Changde. Meanwhile, the city of Shanghai has been a frequent experimenter in green initiatives, from its green credits scheme earlier this year to its recent announcement of an electric cruise ship launch on the Huangpu River. Eco Expo Asia 2023 will delve deeper into these themes, featuring leading players in renewable energy, hydrogen, green finance, and more.

Global Green Industry Leaders Converge at Eco Expo Asia 2023
Eco Expo Asia also serves as a magnet for the world's foremost players in green industries, with confirmed participation this year from 11 countries and regions, including Austria, Canada, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, Macao, Mainland China, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and the USA. Renowned names like Alba, Baguio, China Everbright Environment, GMI Motors, Grander Technology, Huawei International, Wallbox, and Wisdom Motors will grace the fairgrounds in October. Don't miss this chance to witness the latest innovations and collaborations in the global green industry landscape.
