Specialist independent environmental firm, SLR Consulting (UK), has opened a central London base in response to a growing market for its multi-disciplinary services in London and the South East.

SLR provides advice on a wide range of strategic and site specific environmental and sustainability issues to public and private sector clients across the energy, waste management, planning and development, infrastructure, manufacturing and mining sectors. Its search for a London base follows the company’s strong growth performance – last year UK-headquartered SLR reported an 11 per cent increase in revenues to £92.8m.

The new offices in Victoria will allow SLR to offer increased services to a wide range of clients, which in London includes the Greater London Authority, John Laing Investments, First Reserve, Climate Change Capital and Balfour Beatty Capital.

“The opening of an office in the capital is a logical step for SLR,” says Managing Director Neil Penhall.

“We have established a valued client base across London and the South East and are keen to offer them a wider range of quality environmental services, while also tapping into new networks.”

“In addition, our new London office will support our recruitment drive to attract additional industry experts to help drive our expansion plans,” he added.

Laura Marshall who joined SLR Consulting last year has been appointed office manager. Laura is a Chartered Planner and manages a range of planning and EIA projects throughout London and the south east.

SLR has an unrivalled reputation for providing high quality tailored environmental services. The company has 23 other offices throughout the UK and Ireland as well as 25 in North America, 11 in Australasia and 5 in Africa.
