Environmental Firm Appoints New Communications Manager

Communications specialist Sarah Daly has joined leading independent environmental firm SLR Consulting (UK) as Communications Manager.

Based in the firm’s Bristol office, Sarah will oversee the development of internal and external communications, marketing and bid development across the company’s 24 UK and Irish offices.

Sarah is a Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing with 28 years’ experience in senior roles, including 21 years as Managing Director of her own full service marketing consultancy in the East Midlands and more recently as Managing Director of Heath Avery Architects and Strategic Sustainability Consultant with mygreeneye.

In addition she has developed an international speaking and writing profile promoting the business case for sustainability. Sarah has also contributed articles to The Guardian and has spoken at the World Green Building Congress (Singapore 2010) as well as many national events including NHS, BRE, CIBSE, EcoBuild and TEDx.

Sarah commented: “I am looking forward to working with SLR’s multi-disciplinary teams and implementing a strategic communications and marketing programme to support the company’s continued growth.”

Sarah, who lives in Cheltenham, has a degree in Visual Communication and is currently studying part-time for an MSc Sustainable Development (Exeter) where her dissertation is on municipal zero waste strategies. She also recently became a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
