Experienced Engineer Joins UK’s Edinburgh Office

Chartered Engineer Rónan Doyle has joined environmental firm SLR Consulting (UK) as a Principal working in the industrial permitting and planning team.

With experience in process engineering, including the technical aspects of plant and machinery, he has previously been involved in large infrastructure projects including power stations, combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants, biomass plants and EfWs.

Based in SLR’s Edinburgh office, he will also be responsible for carrying out COMAH and MATTE assessments as well as HAZOP studies and will perform due diligence work, compliance and H & S audits.

Prior to joining SLR, Rónan worked for Sinclair Knight Merz and prior to that he spent 10 years working for SEPA.

Rónan, who is also a Chartered Environmentalist, said: “I am really looking forward to the different challenges I will be faced with at SLR.

“Since I first came in contact with the company when working at SEPA, I have always been impressed with the professionalism displayed by SLR consultants and look forward to getting to know not only the people in my own team but also consultants across the business.”
