Biowaste- heavy and humid: that is the input material for one of the largest biowaste treatment plants in Germany.

The rebuilding of the collection hall was completed six months ago. Initially, an annual production of 100,000 tonnes is planned. In 2009, the plant’s performance will be increased to 120,000 tonnes per year.

Biowaste has specific properties and has to be loosened up and metered for further treatment. The downstream units must be fed with a continuous material stream. Only this way, screens and separating technology can work effectively.

That’s just the job for the DOS-O-MAT Feed and Metering Hopper by BRT Recycling Technologie (Germany). The robust Moving Floor Conveyor transports all. The super strong drum with long knives breaks the material up. The unique dosing system produces an even layer on the discharge belt.

Only a heavy steel floor can do this job. No entangling. Scarce wear. All drives are easily accessible even when the hopper is full.
