SEE's BSc and MEnv in Sustainability and Environmental Management has been accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) as an ‘Associate Certificate’ course. Leeds is the only Russell Group University to offer an IEMA accredited undergraduate degree. IEMA is the professional institution for environmental management and the route to become a Chartered Environmentalist, and accreditation means that our graduates are automatically eligible for Associate Membership of IEMA without the standard route of taking further exams and undertaking a period of work experience. This industry recognised accreditation will allow our graduates to stand out when they enter the jobs market.

Employability is already a core aspect of the programmes, with our students undertaking modules each year to learn the skills needed to gain employment within the Environmental sector and beyond. Students also have the opportunity to take a ‘Year in Industry’ or ‘Study Abroad’ to enhance their skills, knowledge and experience within a workplace or at an overseas university.
