New Consultant to Focus on Green-tech Sector

Peer-to-peer funding specialist F&P Sponsors has appointed former financier and specialist investment manager Edward Williams as a Consultant, to focus on supporting the funding aspirations of companies in the clean and green technology sectors.

Edward has over 25 years’ experience in finance including 11 years at Merrill Lynch International, where he held several positions including Head of Equity Derivatives and Convertible Bond Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Co-Head of Equity Linked Products for EMEA.

He also has particular knowledge of funding and developing opportunities within the clean-technology and renewable energy sectors, and has been exposed to the significant challenges that businesses face during their development stages.

F&P Sponsors has already secured over £100 million of funding for a portfolio in excess of 250 businesses in a wide variety of sectors. One of the most recent was BioDynamic UK, a firm that was rejected by traditional financiers 25 times to fund an anaerobic digestion plant, but only two weeks after contacting F&P Sponsors it was listed on a P2P platform and subsequently secured the required £1.5 million.
