ENVIRON announces acquisition of Brazilian consultancy ARQUIPELAGO

Stephen T. Washburn, CEO of ENVIRON Holdings, Inc. (ENVIRON), and Ralf Lattouf, Founder and President of ARQUIPÉLAGO Engenharia Ambiental Ltda. (Arquipélago), have announced the acquisition of ARQUIPÉLAGO by ENVIRON—resulting in the international health and environmental sciences consulting firm’s first offices in Latin America. Effective immediately, ARQUIPÉLAGO will conduct business as ENVIRON ARQUIPÉLAGO.

The acquisition extends ENVIRON’s geographic reach into Latin America, where significant environmental challenges represent opportunities for value-added consulting, and enhances the firm’s technical capabilities in environmental engineering and carbon management—two key growth areas. It also supports ENVIRON’s platform for conducting due diligence, site assessments and site remediation in Latin America, where there is an increasing demand for client services over the longer term.
