10 Years as Compressors Premier Distributor

William G Search, the Leeds-based compressed air division of the Search Group of companies, is celebrating its 10th year as a Premier Distributor for Atlas Copco Compressors (UK). According to Managing Director Richard Search, the company’s success as an Atlas Copco distributor originates from a shared culture of putting the customer first: “That means never pursuing business for business’ sake alone but for what is in the customers’ best interest. Over the past ten years, the ability to partner with Atlas Copco has delivered an excellent result for us and our clients. Established for over 60 years, William G Search has been meeting the compressed air needs of a diverse range of industries and organisations within its Yorkshire and Midlands sales territories for many years. The company also enjoys the advantage of being part of a large commercial group whose activities extend beyond compressed air to encompass a broad spectrum of engineering and supply services from its Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham operations. These are as varied as hydraulics, power plant, equipment hire, event management and golf carts!

The experience of this variety of customer disciplines has resulted in the ability to serve an equally diverse range of compressor applications. Apart from general engineering, William G Search’s diverse customer base includes food, paint, animal feed and stationery manufacture, as well as packaging, vehicle production and the specialist compressed air needs of water authorities and university campuses.
