Honeywell App Allows Users to Configure Open-Path IR Gas Detector from a Smart Phone
Sep 20 2017
Honeywell’s popular Searchline Excel open-path Infrared gas detector, a staple on offshore oil platforms around the globe, now has Bluetooth connectivity to speed up maintenance and reduce downtime, thanks to an updated app for a smart junction box (model: OELD) with local display that attaches to the detector.
Perform commissioning, operation and maintenance remotely to a Searchline Excel (or a Searchpoint Optima Plus) using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology paired with a smart phone in classified hazardous areas faster and with less downtime.
Features: View detector information locally on the display screen, or remotely on an intrinsically safe smartphone or tablet using the OELD Mobile App. Additional local ‘at-a-glance’ safety status indication via the easy to understand traffic-light indicator further simplifies your experience with the detector.
