GE Strengthens Team to Support Growing China Industry

Jun 14 2013

GE (USA) announced recently the appointment of Mr. Bo Liu as President for GE's Power Conversion business in China. Mr. Liu was most recently the Regional Leader for GE Oil & Gas and has more than 15 years experience working for GE.

In his new role, Mr. Liu will oversee the development of long-term business and operational strategies for GE Power Conversion in the Greater China region. Mr. Liu brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience having held various leadership positions in GE China, including marketing development, cross business sales, customer CEO programs, government relations, Olympic verticals, and P&L leadership.

“This appointment, along with the recent introduction of our latest innovative technologies, demonstrates Power Conversion’s continued commitment to driving local decision making and delivering cutting edge solutions across the region,” says Joe Mastrangelo, CEO GE Power Conversion.

GE Power Conversion’s technologies are at the heart of the trend for developments that will be key to meeting China’s growing industry demands. Through partnerships with energy providers as well as working with shipyards to build the next generation of LNG tankers, GE’s solutions will provide improved energy outputs and efficiencies.

“I feel excited about this new role in GE and look forward to working with the regional team to develop a game plan that would help build China into a fast growth platform for GE Power Conversion, with fully empowered regional employees and world class capability in products, research & development and manufacturing” comments Bo Liu.
