New Pumps to be Presented at IFAT 2014

Mar 18 2014

Global pump manufacturer Tsurumi is presenting its new KTD pump for the first time in Europe at IFAT 2014 in Munich, Germany. The KTD pump, an agitator version of Tsurumi’s most popular cast iron pump from its KTZ series – will be released to the European market in August this year.

IFAT 2014 is the world’s largest water industry event that will take place between the 5-9 May where Tsurumi will showcase its new and existing range of products through live demonstrations and exhibits. Leading the company’s display will be Tsurumi’s new KTD pump – available to Europe in August this year – featuring a 2kW and 3kW motor providing customers with more options for various applications as well as its 2kW and 3kW motor KTV agitator range.

Tsurumi’s 80m2 booth will also display four live demonstrations including its new TLD-series compact aerator – a diaphragm aerator designed for aerating wastewater in compact wastewater treatment plants. The aerators are also suitable for aerating clear water in aquaculture, fish farms and aquariums. The compact unit offers a high and stable performance, quiet operation, low energy consumption and excellent durability. A thermal protection device is built in the electromagnets ensuring safety.

Other demonstrations at the event will consist of a KRS pump – an agitator pump for pumping muddy, sandy water – originally designed for dewatering construction sites but now used in sewage plants to empty sediment in treatment tanks. A TRN aerator, a mechanical aeration machine sold to sewage treatment plants in the industrial waste water sector, will be operational and a unique LSC pump will be displayed used in many applications and nicknamed the ‘puddle sucker’ because it pumps water down to a level of 1mm.

Five cross-section samples will be available, showing the inside structure of Tsurumi’s simple but effective pump technology. The pumps are made from high quality materials and are water tight but use a simple design for easy maintenance. This year will be Tsurumi’s 90th anniversary since the company was established in 1924.

IFAT 2014 – held in Munich’s exhibition center – will display innovations and solutions in the field of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. Drinking water production, the treatment of waste water, water transport management and monitoring functions are central themes at the world’s leading environmental technology exhibition.
