CSO Technik Win Another Odour Control Framework Award

South West Water has appointed CSO Technik as one of their three odour control framework suppliers for AMP5.
South West Water provides drinking water and waste water treatment services to some 1.65 million residents and an additional 5 million annual visitors to Devon and Cornwall. The area served by South West Water covers over 10,300 square Kilometres.
CSO Technik is already one of the odour control framework suppliers to Scottish Water and is currently completing a large Chemical scrubber system contract at Kirkcaldy.
In addition to Chemical scrubber systems, CSO also supply a wide range of odour abatement solutions incorporating, Biofilters, Bioscrubbers, Catalytic Iron Filters, Carbon Filters as well as the Terminodour process.
South West Water staff visited CSO’s largest Terminodour installation at Swansea, as part of their vetting procedure, and were suitably impressed by the systems effectiveness and low carbon footprint. The Terminodour system incorporates ionising technology to oxidise odours in situ rather than extracting to a scrubbing process. The combined benefit of reduced air change rates and lower pressure drops lead to substantive reductions in energy consumption whilst providing effective odour abatement and improving the working environment for operators.
Colin Froud, CSO Technik’s Managing Director, says “We are delighted that the benefits of our innovative and low carbon footprint odour control technologies have led to the award of a supply framework with South West Water”
