Waste water company pumps sees a sales increase of 40 per cent

Nov 09 2012

Swansea must have a lot of waste water to control, as Samatrix, the city's waste water company, pumps up its sales by 40 per cent.

The company specialises in pumping systems and equipment for the water and waste water industry.

Over the past few years, demand for such expertise has clearly grown in the city.

Samatrix was asked by the council to provide these services to the city for a further three years back in March this year.

The city has 30 pumping stations, all of which are managed by Samatrix.

In April the firm was placed on Camarthenshire County Council's list of approved suppliers.

Samatrix's success continues, which can only be a testament to the good job the company is doing.

Not only has the company been used by Swansea City Council, in August the Swansea-based Coastal Housing Association hired Samatrix, as well as Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council renewing it's contract back in July.

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has 30 pumping stations to maintain, while the Coastal Housing Association has ten.

The managing director of Samatrix, Samuel Munn is clearly excited about the progress the company has made.

"We are extremely pleased with the way our business has developed over the last 12 months, particularly as the economic climate has not been particularly favourable for business growth," he told local paper This is South Wales.

"Many of the larger organisations are beginning to recognise the benefits of using our services as a means of avoiding problems with pumping stations before they break down."

Not only are the services of Samatrix economically pleasing, they are also environmentally friendly.

"As we are also able to provide information on a pump's performance in relation to its design potential, we are able to suggest improvements to pumping systems which in turn can reduce energy costs," Mr Munn asserted.
