Steve Bungay is to join leading water and wastewater solutions company ACWA Services (UK) as Senior Process Specialist. Steve is a technical expert with over 20 years process science and engineering experience in the environmental sector. His areas of expertise include process design; process investigation and troubleshooting; wastewater treatment; sewage sludge treatment; biosolids and biowaste treatment; advanced anaerobic digestion; and liquor treatment.

A Chartered Biologist, Member of the Society of Biology, Member of CIWEM, and an Associate Member of IChemE, Steve sits on CIWEM’s Wastewater Management Panel as a Conference Chair, and is a guest lecturer at Cranfield University

Steve’s priority at ACWA will be to develop and promote the Company’s highly successful Amtreat® activated sludge process which is used for treating high-strength ammonia wastewaters. The robust and cost-effective process is suitable for treating sludge liquors from thickening, dewatering and drying processes and can be configured for ammonia removal, total nitrogen removal, and alkalinity recovery.

ACWA Services Proposals Manager Gary Harris said, “We are delighted that Steve is joining our process water team where his experience and expertise will further strengthen the market leading position of our Amtreat® process.”
