Solar Company Receives Industry Approval

Mar 05 2014

Energy firm Solarlec (UK) has received the thumbs up from the renewables industry after passing an annual review with flying colours.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme carried out its yearly assessment at the company's Burnley, Exeter and Carlisle premises and confirmed Solarlec's status as an official provider of solar PV, solar thermal and biomass boiler systems for another 12 months.

The MCS is the official body for the renewable energy industry and companies must hold official accreditation to supply products and carry out installations - customers who buy from unapproved suppliers risk failing to be eligible for feed-in tariff payments from their energy supplier through the government's cash back scheme.

Director Simon Bland said: "We are delighted to announce that we've passed the MCS accreditation for another 12 months to enable us to continue to help home and business customers across the UK save money, reduce their carbon footprint and earn government cashback from their energy suppliers.

"We have energy advisors and installation teams working tirelessly up and down the country to provide the best technology, value and service when it comes to switching to greener energy sources. More and more people are now clued up to the enormous benefits of renewable energy and it's exciting for us to be leading the way."
